Send in the Clowns or Harmonix Podcast #75 Challenge Accepted

I'm going to post my top three "music movies" which don't have to be about music, rockumentaries, documentaries, mockumentaries, concert films, movies with great soundtracks, all are up for grabs.  So here's my three!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Classic.  Great music.  Great storytelling.  Weird as hell.  Watched this for the first time when I was a teenager.  Finally got to see it live just this last year.  Great live show.  Go see it, I'll wait!  Love it!  Right.  Okay.  One and done, let's see what's next...

Spinal Tap/A Mighty Wind

I put these two together since they are done by the same director.  Love them both.  Got to see A Mighty Wind when it was in theaters and it was awesome.  Spinal Tap is such a classic too.  Both shot in the docu-mocku-mentary style that Christopher Guest can only do justice.

GG Allin: Hated

Not for everybody, as a matter of fact not for most.  Interesting documentary about GG Allin and the Murder Junkies done by Todd Phillips (of Road Trip fame).  It is an account of GG Allin beginnings as a performer told by fans, friends, and family, and GG himself.  Pretty crazy and NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART, EASILY SQUEAMISH, EASILY OFFENDED, AND ANYONE UNDER 18 AND POSSIBLY 21 IN SOME STATES.  As a matter of fact you should NOT VIEW IT! You have been warned.  The video includes: female nudity, full frontal male nudity, body fluids (use your imagination), and other things of a nature that may be disturbing to some viewers.  SECOND WARNING!

Well there you have it.  My top three "music movies" that I've enjoyed over the years.  What are your favorite "music movies"?
