*Sigh* There, I did it. Bumming myself out. I'm trying to stay positive and upbeat, keep on keepin' on, as they say. But it's hard. Damn hard. I don't envy anyone that has to go through this. and let's face it, most of us do, it's the curse of getting older. Also, I noticed there seems to be a lot more doctor visits in people's life as they progress in age. Boo. Wendy. Boo. I'm also like ninety five percent of everyone who doesn't enjoy the hospital. It's true.
I'm been trying to distract myself from all the loss lately in life. Movies are becoming my go to staple again. I actually sat through (without cell phone distraction, mind you) the entire two hours forty two minute film, Ran, by Akira Kurosawa. Here's the trailer to that in case you are interested.
This film is a masterpiece. Vivid colors, amazing landscapes, large scale war choreography, passion, intrigue, murder and mayhem. Akira Kurosawa's Ran hits all the right places on a movie lover's list.
I don't like giving to much away as in spoilers, but if you have a spare two hours and forty or so minutes then it's definitely worth your time.

I also recently watched Knock Knock (2015) directed by Eli Roth, a horror thriller somewhat in the vain of Hard Candy meets Funny Games, but not quite, once again, I'm not really a spoiler guy so here's the trailer for that.
I like it alright, but I think it was lacking in some areas. Compared to the Hostel films this film seems to be horror lite. Does that even make sense? I don't know but that is what I felt. Check out the trailer (or the film) and judge for yourself (or don't!).
The local library got some of the 2017 Academy Awards film in that I can't wait to see. Just a few.

Now Jackie I have on UV, so it's just a matter of me sitting down and watching it, which I think I'm going to try and watch it this week.
I'm going to try and starting posting here again. I think people enjoy what I say, though this post is a bit of a Debbie Downer at the beginning, but such is life, right? Yeah, I think so. Crooked Finger was right!
I'll see you guys tomorrow for a Movie Ticket Monday (Remember those? Yeah, me neither.) if I can find where I put those. Guess I know what I'm doing later today.
