Again, Wow! I just look at the release schedule for this upcoming year from Wizkids in the Heroclix space and it's actually quite insane. I think I am just going to post what is suppose to be coming out for the next three months. Let's take a look at January:
Marvel Very Uncanny Avengers Monthly OP Kit (OP stands for Organized Play) - This kit comes with 4 X Synapse (new sculpt), 4 X Doctor Voodoo, and 4 X Dracula.
Here's what hitting in February:
Marvel Early X-Men Monthly OP Kit - This kit will have 4 X Banshee (new sculpt), 4 X Havok, and 4 X Polaris.
Now to get these figures you have to play in a "brick and mortar" store, (i.e. a hobby/gaming store that runs Heroclix events through the WIN or better known as the Wizkids Info Network), so if you don't live near a game store that runs said events you may find these figures on the secondary market (eventually), but don't fear, there's more!
Marvel Deadpool and X-Force
Here is where you can probably find stuff online when this set first releases or if you live near a game store that will probably have you covered.
Booster Brick (10ct. 5 figures each, blind pull) What does all the mean, sure I'll let you in on the secret. 10 ct. stands for 10 individual booster pack in a brick, also, a case is generally made up of two booster brick (or 20 individual booster packs). There are five figures in each booster pack. What is this "blind pull"? Well, it means you don't see what you're getting. I think I'll go over that more in depth at a later time. A little history lesson as you will, but now I digress.
So the set "rarity" breaks down as follows:
16 Common
16 Uncommon
16 Rare
12 Super Rare
6 Chase
4 Prime
So I think it safe to say that everyone understand what common, uncommon, and rare means, and to a certain extent super rare, but Chase and Prime, eh? Well glad you asked! Chases are generally 1 to Booster Brick ratio, but that is not always the case. Primes are alternative characters, for example a character with a green ring around the top of the "oreo dial" is considered a Prime.
Fast Forces Set - This set will contain characters from the Deadpool/X-Force universe, the characters haven't been revealed yet.
Release Day OP Kit
Dice & Token Pack
And here is what is happening in March in the Heroclix universe!
DC Earth 2 World's Finest Monthly OP Kit - This set has 4 X Flash (new sculpt), 4 X Huntress, and 4 X Power Girl
So DC is finally getting some love in March. You know what else is? This is!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! That's right, some more Heroes in a half-shell are coming your way. This time it's in a gravity feed, that is different than booster packs and booster bricks, it's individually wrapped single figures. Sometimes Gravity Feeds can be found in Targets and other stores, usually there is a "A" Gravity Feed (game/hobby stores and a "B" Gravity Feed (Target, etc.)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Gravity Feed
30 + Figures
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Fast Forces - This set comes with Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael, Bebop, and Rocksteady.
Fast Forces are usually six figure set at a standard price point that is around the twenty dollar or so amount. It's a pretty good jumping off point for new players next to the gravity feeds, which usually run two to three dollars per figure.
That is a lot of stuff coming out for the first three months of the year. You better hold onto your wallets folks, it's going to be a bumpy ride!
