This Week in Rock (Games)

Yep. I know, I didn't post a Movie Ticket Monday yesterday. That's okay because next week will be a double feature! Now let's see what came out this week on Rocksmith Remastered and Rock Band 4:

Rock Band 4

The Isley Brothers - "Shout"

Classic song. Glad to see it made it in the game and it's a 1950's song. OMG!

Rocksmith 2014 Remastered

Grateful Dead Song Pack ($11.99/Pack)

"Casey Jones"
"Friend of the Devil"
"Sugar Magnolia"
"Truckin"
"Uncle John's Band"

Nice to see some Grateful Dead make it into Rocksmith! I see three songs I want from this pack. Good picks!

If anything comes out for Rock Band VR I will be sure to let you guys and gals know.

Are you grabbing any DLC this week?

Stay tuned for some Blu-ray Tuesdays here in a little bit.

This Week in Rock (Games)

Granted these tracks will be released Thursday May 11th, 2017. Here ya go!

Rock Band 4 DLC (Tracks are $1.99)

MGMT - "Kids"
Tracy Bonham - "Mother Mother"

Rocksmith 2014 Remastered

Sheryl Crow Song Pack ($7.99 for the pack, $2.99 per track)

"If It Makes You Happy"
"My Favorite Mistake"
"Soak Up The Sun"

Not the biggest Sheryl Crow fan, but I am sure some people are super happy. I'll pass this week and see what comes out next week.

Rock Band VR released these two tracks for purchase this week ($2.99/track)

Green Day - "Basket Case"
The White Stripes - "Seven Nation Army"

Two great songs that I am sure are a blast to play in VR! Are you grabbing anything? Sound off!

This Week in Rock (Games)

It's Tuesday and there is some DLC coming at you today courtesy of Rock Band 4 and Rocksmith 2014! Let's get right to it:

Rock Band 4 ($1.99 per track)

Imagine Dragons - "Radioactive"
Three Days Grace - "Never Too Late"

Another week of only two tracks. I kind of hope this isn't a trend of things to come. I have to say I'm excited for the Imagine Dragons song, it is definitely a "earworm"! I've haven't listened to Three Days Grace really so I can't vouch for it one way or another.

Rocksmith 2014

Incubus Pack II ($9.99)

"Drive"
"Megalomaniac"
"Pardon Me"
"Stellar"

I like the song "Drive" but I don't really know the others, or if I do I don't recognize them by name.

Well there you have it folks! Are you grabbing any of these tracks today to rock out with? Sound off!

Stay Calm and Play On!

Rock Band 4 ($1.99 per track)

Blues Traveler - "Hook"
My Chemical Romance - "Famous Last Words"

Rock Band has also reveled what other bands we'll be seeing in June:

Goo Goo Dolls
Imagine Dragons

Toto

What do you think of the other artists coming out this month?

Rocksmith 2014

This Week in Rock (Games)

It's Monday night and here's what is coming out for Rocksmith 2014 tomorrow:

90's Mix Song Pack ($7.99)

Everclear - "Santa Monica"
Filter - "Hey Man, Nice Shot"
Reel Big Fish - "Beer"

I like the Filter song and the Everclear song is okay, I am not too familiar with Reel Big Fish. Guess I will check em' out on Spotify.

Are you grabbing any tracks from Rocksmith 2014 or Rock Band 4 this week? Sound off!

This Week in Rock (Games)

Nope folks, you are not seeing double. Rock Band 4 lets the tracks outta the bag a little early and revealed the two single tracks coming out on the 31st of May. Without further ado:

Twisted Sister - "We're Not Gonna Take It"

Warrant - "Cherry Pie"

I'll be honest. I was really hoping for a three pack of Twisted Sister, and the fact that we are only getting one is a big ol' let down. It makes sense that RB picked that one as the first track by those S.M.F.'s. I am hoping to see "Burn in Hell", "The Kids Are Back", and "The Price", just to name a few. "Come Out And Play" would be cool too (just sayin').

Again it makes sense that "Cherry Pie" would be released as the first track from Warrant, though if I had my way I would have picked "Uncle Tom's Cabin", it'll be interesting to see if there are some three packs or more singles from these two bands later this year or early next year.

I'm going do a future prediction for both these bands and a bit of wishful thinking. These tracks below are NOT coming out this coming Tuesday!

Twister Sister Pack 01

"The Kids Are Back"
"Under the Blade"
"I Wanna Rock"

Warrant Pack 01

"Uncle Tom's Cabin"
"Sometimes She Cries"
"I Saw Red"

Once again, the Twisted Sister Pack 01 and the Warrant Pack 01 is me speculating on future track releases.

Are you stoked about some Hair Metal coming at you next week from Rock Band 4? Sound off!

This Week in Rock (Games)

Another week already, man, where does the time go? It's Tuesday and you know what that means, some rockin' good DLC coming your way today, let's see what we got:

Rock Band 4

Gin Blossoms

"Found Out About You"
"Hey Jealousy"

Only two tracks again, maybe it's a thing they (Harmonix) are trying this month. I guess I can forget about that three pack of Twisted Sister.

Rocksmith 2014

Chevelle Song Pack

"The Red"
"Vitamin R (Leading Us Along)"
"Hats Off to the Bull"

Not really a fan of Chevelle so it'll be a skip week for me for sure on Rocksmith 2014. Are you stoked about the tracks coming out? Or are you waiting for next week to see what comes down the pipeline? Sond off!

This Week in Rock (Games)

Howdy do! It's Tuesday so there's so DLC to post for this week. Are you ready? Let's go:

Rock Band 4

Deep Blue Something - "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
Hozier - "Take Me to Church"

Both tracks are $1.99 each.

Rocksmith 2014

Queensrÿche Song Pack ($7.99)

"Eyes of a Stranger"
"I Don't Believe in Love"
"Jet City Woman"

Well there you have it folks! I am stoked for those Queensrÿche tracks! Also the Deep Blue Something track is pretty much an insta-buy!

Are you grabbing anything today for either Rock Band 4 or Rocksmith 2014? Sound off!

This Week in Rock (Games)

So Rock Band 4 released these two tracks today:

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (1.99 each)

"Don't Do Me Like That"
"Learning to Fly"

Rocksmith 2014 put out a four pack this week as follows:

Variety Song Pack ($9.99)

Arch Enemy - "Nemesis"
Nazareth - "Hair of the Dog"
Of Monsters and Men - "Little Talks"
The Presidents of the United States - "Peaches"

I'm a little surprised at Rock Band 4, I've always seemed to remember at least three dlc tracks hitting each week, except for the Incubus track release week way back when. I do love both those Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers songs, so I guess it's all good. Still looking forward to the Twisted Sister track/tracks coming out later this month.

Two out of the four songs would be an insta-buy for me on Rocksmith 2014. Arch Enemy is a fun song to play on Rock Band 3, I imagine it's a bit more intense here on real guitar. I've always like the Nazareth song as well, so if I wasn't broke and my 360 still worked I would be all over that.

Are you grabbing anything this week or is a big ol' Skippie McSkiperson? Sound off Freaks and Geeks!

This Week in Rock (Games)

So Rock Band 4 DLC is coming back next week, but they released all the artists that are coming out in May. Here they are:

Deep Blue Something
Hozier
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Twisted Sister
Warrant

Well Tom Petty, Twisted Sister (finally!), and Warrant are all surprises! I am super excited about Twisted Sister, I hope they get a three pack. I've never heard of Deep Blue Something or Hozier.

Here is what came out for Rocksmith 2014 today:

Rise Against II Song Pack ($11.99)

"Audience of One"
"Help is on the Way"
"Paper Wings"
"Ready to Fall"
"Re-Education (Through Labor)"

I like some of Rise Against songs so I'll have to give em' a full listen on Spotify.

Are you grabbing some tracks on Rocksmith 2014 today? Or are you waiting to see which band Rock Band puts out next week? Sound off!

This Week in Rock (Games)

Been a busy week. Here is what came out for Rock Band 4 and Rocksmith 2014 this week:

Rock Band 4

Lamb of God - "Redneck"
The Romantics - "What I Like About You"
Weezer - "Dope Nose"

I'm all for The Romantics track this week. Everything else would be a skip.

Rocksmith 2014

Crobot Song Pack ($7.99 for Pack, $1.99 per track individually)

"Fly On The Wall"
"Legend of the Spaceborne Killer"
"Nowhere to Hide"

Never heard of the Crobots, but I'll check em' out on Spotify at a later date.

Are you grabbing any of these tracks this week or are you skipping at see what comes out next week? Sound off!

This Week in Rock (Games)

You'll notice I don't have the Parts anymore, I think from this point forward I'm going to post Rock Band 4 and Rocksmith 2014 weekly DLC tracks on Tuesdays. If Guitar Hero: Live posts tracks I'll just do a second TWiRG that week.

Okay, onto the tracks that came out for Rock Band 4 yesterday:

Justin Bieber Pack 01

"Boyfriend"
"Love Yourself"
"Sorry"

I don't know what to say. It's not my cup of tea at all, but I am sure some of you out there will be stoked for "The Bieb".

Moving on.

Here is what came out for Rocksmith 2014 today:

80's Mix Pack ($7.99)

Devo - "Girl U Want"
Extreme - "Play With Me"
Judas Priest - "Electric Eye"

This pack is more my style of music! Not familiar with the Extreme song, but the other two are right up my alley. I guess if your into the 80's music scene or a fan of latter day pop music you are probably over the moon. Me, I'm still planting firmly here on Earth.

Are you grabbing these tracks from either Rock Band 4 or Rocksmith 2014 this week? Or are you skipping and seeing what's coming out next week? Sound off!

This Week in Rock (Games) (Part 1)

Justin Bieber
Lamb of God
The Romantics
Weezer

Well there is all that in a bow and a top hat. I don't know what to say about more Bieber, but Lamb of God and The Romantics are music to my ears. Pun intended.

Disturbed Song Pack II ($11.99)

Not too shabby with Disturbed. I like Inside the Fire quite a bit. Will have to listen to everything else.
