WWE Extreme Rules 2017 PPV Results (SPOILERS AHEAD!)

So this is a RAW only PPV. I enjoyed what Smackdown LIVE put together just a few weeks ago with Backlash and I'm hoping to see RAW top that. Let's get started shall we?

Sasha Banks & Rich Swann vs Noam Dar & Alicia Fox (Mixed Tag Match) - Well we haven't seen one of these for a few months (I think since Cena/Nikki vs Miz/Maryse at on near Wrestlemania this year. I haven't been watching 205 Live lately so I don't really know how long this feud has been going on. I'm glad to see Sasha Banks wrestling. Who knows how well received the match will be by the WWE Universe. It'll be interesting to say the least. Who do I think is going to win. Not sure but I will go this way.

Winners: Noam Dar & Alicia Fox

Result: Sasha Banks & Rick Swann *Not starting out good here. The match was okay. Nothing to write home about or anything. Moving on.

WWE Raw Tag Team Champions the Hardy Boyz vs Cesaro & Sheamus (Steel Cage Match) - So the "Sheasaro" finally do the full heel turn against the Hardy Boyz a few weeks ago and now they are looking to take the belt for themselves. The fight is going to take place in a Steel Cage which will be awesome to see this four go at it in the unforgiving structure. Again I have to go with the Heel team.

Winners and NEW Tag Team Champions, Cesaro & Sheamus

Result: NEW Tag Team Champions, Cesaro & Sheamus! Got one right! Amazing! This match (once again) was just okay. Not surprised that the Hardy Boyz lost. Is WWE already pulling the tag team apart for singles competition? That would be insane.

Cruiserweight Champion Neville vs Austin Aries (Submission Match) - Aries gets a third shot at the title. What the hell? Let someone else take a shot at the champ. Kendrick? Tozawa? T.J. Perkins? Really, just Neville and Austin three times over? Hmm.

I guess since third time is the charm it's going to roll like this.

Winner & NEW Crusierweight Champion, Austin Aries

Result: STILL Crusierweight Champion, Neville! This match was pretty decent, but nothing to crazy I thought. For this PPV being called Extreme Rules, the rules really didn't feel that extreme at all.

WWE RAW Woman's Champion Alexa Bliss vs Bayley (Kendo stick on a Pole Match) - Another gimmick match, woof. After Alexa's "This is Your Life Segmant on Raw" I can't see it going any other way than this (though I thought there weren't going to have Bayley drop the title to Bliss in her hometown of San Jose).

Winner and NEW WWE RAW Woman's Champion, Bayley

Result: STILL RAW Woman's Champion, Alexa Bliss! I thought this match didn't go on long enough at all to tell the story. Let's keep on keeping on.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose vs The Miz (If Ambrose gets DQ'ed the Miz will win the title stipulation) - What weird ass stipulation is that? What the hell creative? This makes no sense. Just the stipulation, not the match between the two. I can see Miz trying to pull out all the stops, but ultimately I think it'll play out like this.

Winner and still WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dean Ambrose

Result: NEW WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz! Hmm. I guess. Something WWE Creative, I just don't understand you or your grand ideas. Again, hmm.

Bray Wyatt vs Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns vs Finn Balor vs Samoa Joe (Fatal 5-Way Match to determine No. 1 Contender for the WWE Universal Championship) - So let me get this straight. Brock won the title at Wrestlemania against Goldberg like two months ago and he hasn't defended it since. Now there's a number one contender match set for this Sunday, which means at the earliest Brock will defend at SummerSlam. This is flat out crazy booking. Ambrose was right, saying that the IC belt is really the top belt there now. The Creative at WWE have devalued the WWE Universal Championship, which if I can be honest, I hate that title belt name. Universal? Really? Sound like they should defend it throughout the known Galaxy or something. Just a silly name, but I digress.

Who do I think is going to win the number one contender spot? I don't know. I would love to see Finn vs Lesnar, but I would like to see Wyatt or Rollins get a shot too. Joe and Reigns are probably at the bottom of my list to see win this match. Though internet gossip (for what it is) is saying next year's Wresltemania is going to be Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar for the Universal title. Does that mean that Brock will defend at SummerSlam and then not for another three, four, or even five months? I call shenanigans WWE.

Right, where was I? Yes, who is going to win the match.

Winner: Bray Wyatt

Result: NEW #1 Contender to the WWE Universal Championship, Samoa Joe! Out of all the people I wanted to see win, Joe was last on my list. I don't think it's going to be a fair fight at the (ahem) Great Balls of Fire PPV coming up (dumbest PPV name ever). Lesnar will destroy Joe and then not defend the title for months on end. I mean what is the point of that, but I digress.

Okay folks, check out this blog post on Monday when I update it with results and my overall thoughts on Extreme Rules. Oh also, I think there is going to be one or two more matches at the PPV itself, and quite possibly one or two on the Pre-Show.

Alright see you on Monday with revelations! Stay tuned.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: This PPV was not good and by the end of it, I was pissed off. That is all I am going to say about it, let's hope Smackdown's Money in the Bank PPV is better than this or the WWE is in trouble.

What did you think of the show last night? Love it? Hate it? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Stay tuned later today for a YouTube video from me. See you soon!
