Movie Ticket Mondays: Shrek

Yep. Saw this bad boy in the theater back in the day. I honestly don't think I've watched it sense. It was a fun film I remember that. It was May 19, 2002. That was just a day or two ago. Watched it at the Galaxy Riverbank IMAX Luxury + Theatre.

I was pretty stoked to hear Eddie Murphy voice the Donkey in the film. If you've never watched Shrek here's the trailer.

Oh just in case anyone was wondering I paid $7.75 for a ticket. Now that I write that it seems that the movie prices haven't gone up to much and I'll be totally honest I haven't been to the theater in quite a long time. We are talking years here.

Since I'm still on the topic of films I watched Still Alice last night which was pretty intense. A firmly grounded in reality film where this sort of thing can happen to anyone. Julianne Moore's performance was superb. The entire cast was great but Moore stole the show in my book. I've started to notice a pattern that I've been watching very intense movies followed by very lighthearted stuff. Maybe I trying to achieve a normal film pH balance. Here's the trailer to Still Alice.

I also watched Poverty Inc. today. Still don't know what to think about that. I get back to that one another day. Stay tuned, I'll be blogging about Blu-ray Tuesday come tomorrow, just you wait, just you wait.

See you soon.
