Heroclixin' It Up: DC World's Finest Previews!

So Wizkids posted an article about some new game mechanics called "Unique Modifiers" which if you want to look into that I will post the url link at the bottom of the page. But you came here for pictures! Here you go:

Look it's a Witch! A generic 20 point character to fill out your team. Love em'. The Witch (#015) has three clicks of life with 5 range and 1 lightning bolt. Sidestep, Phasing/Teleport, and Energy Shield/Deflection. Her damage power all the way through her clicks reads as follows: Dark Lightning - Witch can use Enhancement. Unique Modifier - When an adjacent friendly character with the Mystical keyword makes a ranged combat attack, modify their attack value by +1. (UNIQUE MODIFIER ~ Characters can only be modified by one effect of this name.)

I like this click. Totally seeing a JLD team with one or two of these.

"I'm not a Witch, I'm your wife!" Actually it's a Warlock (#016)! Another figure coming in at 20 points and 3 clicks of life with a 5 range and 1 lightning bolt. Phasing/Teleport, Sidestep, and Combat Reflexes. His damage power reads as follows: Battle Magic - Warlock can use Empower. Unique Modifier - When an adjacent friendly character with the Mystical keyword makes a ranged combat attack, modify their attack value by +1. (UNIQUE MODIFIER ~ Characters can only be modified by one effect of this name.)

Another clix I can't wait to get my grubby little paws on.

But wait there's more! How about some Jason Blood!

Jason Blood (#029) is coming in at 100 points, 6 clicks of life with a 6 range, and 1 lightning bolt. Mr. Blood has the Mystical team ability (or TA for short.) Let's talk about the Special Power first. Gone! Gone! Form of Man; Rise, the Demon Etrigan! Give Jason Blood a free action if he began your turn on the map. Replace him with Etrigan WF (World's Finest Set) #045 on the same click number. Stealth, Sidestep, Penetrating/Psychic Blast, Precision Strike, Smoke Cloud, Energy Shield/Deflection, Probability Control, and Outwit. He has a Defense power Sorcerous Wards - Jason Blood can use Super Sense. Adjacent friendly characters that share a keyword with him can use Super Senses, but only succeed on a roll of 6. There is also a Damage power Unravel Your Simple Magicks - Jason Blood can use Outwit and Probability. Adjacent friendly characters can't be targeted by opposing characters Probability Control.

Man, that is a lot of stuff! Blood has some cool powers to be sure and that isn't all there is still one more character reveal today! Are you ready?!? I said, ARE YOU READY?!? 2 points if you get the reference. Are you keeping score.

My man, Etrigan (#045)! I am over the moon for a modern Etrigan! This clix comes in at 100 points with 6 clicks of life, 5 range with 2 lightning bolts. He's also supporting the Mystical TA. Etrigan's Special Power is as follows: Gone, Gone O Etrigan! Rise Again the Form of Man! Give Etrigan a free action if he begins your turn on the map. Replace him with Jason Blood WF #029 on the same click number.

Etrigan is also support these powers. Running Shot, Stealth, Blades/Claws/Fangs, Toughness, Combat Reflexes, and Perplex. His Movement Special Power reads as follows: Adept at Rhymes & Wording Games Etrigan can use Plasticity and Sidestep. While he's adjacent to an opposing character, he can't be attacked by nonadjacent opposing characters. He also has an Attack Power, which reads as follows: Have a Taste of Burning Flames - Etrigan can use Energy Explosion. While Etrigan makes an attack and hits, after actions resolve he can use Smoke Cloud as a free action but must place at least 1 hindering terrain marker adjacent to a hit character.

The fact that you can switch Jason Blood and Etrigan is a cool game effect that I'm loving. I am so looking forward to this set from Wizkids, and we are also getting Justice League ID cards with this set! Not only all that but two other sets coming out this summer that I am really jazzed about. It's coming up Heroclix!

Stay Calm and Ping-Pong.
