I thought to myself, hey wouldn't it be cool if I blogged about science? I am sure it would be or else I wouldn't have thought of it. I liked the phrase "science fiction into science fact" quite a bit, it serves to show that we may be to big for our britches, and that the technology is surpassing it's creators in terms of how we interact with or change our daily lives with a "simple" invention. Let's take the ISH (information super highway, Internet, Interwebz, or the "ultimate time waster" for instance.
"To me it's like magic." - Walter Jones
It's like the blending of the microcosm and macrocosm. The Big Bang Theory of Cyberspace, I suppose. (Insert chuckle here) In all reality the internet has changed our lives in many, many ways.

"Where's the controller on this thing." Blup Blup. How does this work? Achievement Unlocked. |

"Is this the game Grandpa keeps talking about, you know, Oregon Trail?" |
Yeah I never used the BBS system, but I didn't get my first computer until 1999, and boy did I party with it. Those were the days. Listening (and not getting sued by Napster) to music, working on screenplays for my JC classes, and playing Redneck Rampage! Get er' done!

Boy the internet has coming along way since then. Now we can do all our shopping for groceries, schedule every aspect of our lives, get diplomas, meet and date people, find all manner of things (some you don't want to find), like "Goatsy" or "Two Girls and a Cup" (NSFW: Those two quotes will bring up "over 21 explicit material that may not be appropriate for the young ones")
I wonder what the future will hold for the internet? I'll be the first one to be excited about what is to come down the pipeline, you know, as long as its not intelligent machines a la the Terminator.
