So I scored at my local comic shop the other day. Was able to find two old single issues of The Books of Magic for Symphony and I scored Amazing X-Men 2 and 3 (from the AoA storyline from Marvel in the mid-90's) for a whooping twenty cents. Twenty cents! Let that sink in for a second. That is less than I paid for Swamp Thing #24 (series 2) when I was about six or so. Sweet.
I just finished the second to last issue of Uncanny X-Men. It's becoming a little bitter-sweet to say the least. It's not like I'm still not collecting back issues or anything and I am also beginning some of the DC's newest 52 (Swamp Thing and Justice League Dark as well as Marvel's Uncanny X-Force) so I still get to go and get my single issues and whatnot, but I've been steadily purchasing Uncanny X-Men since, geez, I am actually having to think how far back... Well, I actually had to look up the publication date online. I've been collected Uncanny X-Men since Feb. 1989! Holy shit! Twenty-two years. Wow. I'm old.
And one that note cue the music!
