Movie Ticket Monday (Triple Feature): Austin Powers in Goldmember/House of 1000 Corpses/X-Men 2

It's a triple feature today folks! First up is a film I've never done this with until this movie came out. That is right is that classic piece of cinema that came out in 2002. I saw this on August 17th 2002 at the Riverbank 12 Theater in Riverbank, California. I watched it during a film class with other students from back in the day (you know who you are!) and then like a crazy bastard I took a friend (Hi Loyd!) the next day to see it again at the Signature theater that was located in Turlock, California. I paid $5.50 at the Riverbank theater and I paid $5.25 at the Signature. Man, I miss those movie prices.

I laughed my ass off on this film and I even own the old boy on DVD. Yes, I'm talking about Ya baby! Austin Powers in Goldmember. I am pretty damn sure that if I watched this again I don't think I'd laugh as much, but who know, maybe I still enjoy the hell out of it. If you can stomach "dick and fart jokes" and sexual innuendos all the live long day then this film may just be your cup of tea.

Here's the trailer:

Now folks I'm not going to cheat you. I could say here's two movies right there, but that is just terrible.

Ah. the second film. House of 1000 Corpses. It was the first picture by Rob Zombie and I fell in love with the Firefly family, a merry band of lunatics, that Zombie had created. Now I have to apologize to Elizabeth (my girlfriend at the time), I was a totally ass wipe and admonished her during some of the opening scenes that shows a butt load of clown imagery and of course, Sid Haig, playing by Captain Spalding. I was wrong. I'm a dick and I'm sorry. Also dear readers if you don't like clowns, well don't watch the film or this trailer that I'm showing right now. We watched House of 1000 Corpses at the Modesto 18 located in beautiful downtown Motown. Actually saw the evening show and paid a whopping $8.50 per ticket.

Onto the last and final film of this here triple feature, X-Men 2! Also, funnily enough I watched this movie twice within a week. Now with all the other X-Men films out, I don't know where I would place this in my list of top to bottom X-Men films. I watched this film the first time at the Riverbank 12 which cost me a outstanding $5.75 and then I watched it at the Modesto 18 two days later for $6.00, which was May 3 so that would have been a birthday movie that I wanted to see. There is a trend there that will continue for a day or two. I am sure I saw X-Men 2 the first time with Elizabeth and company and the second time I believe I saw it with Loyd (Hello again, Loyd!)

Man I love me some X-Men! I have been a rabid fanatic of the Uncanny X-Men and I went damn near crazy when the first X-Men movie came out. I recently got to watch Logan and I was blown away. What a great movie!

Here's the trailer for X-Men 2!

Did you watch these films when they came out in the theater? Do you enjoy them? If so, comment below and let's talk about it!
