#ClownLivesMatter?

Back to your regularly scheduled reality, in three, two, one...

#ClownLivesMatter

This is some crazy stuff right here. I'm all for scares (I used to make short film student horror flicks back in the old college days) and what not, but where does someone draw the line at? Standing there being creepy, sure it's creepy but it's not really against the law or anything, and I guess to my crazy brain that is okay. But chasing someone I think that goes over into the realm of bad taste, and creepy clowns scaring kids, that is what we call a dick move. Don't do it, just, don't.

I also think that quite possibly that the clown sightings are grossly over represented by people and the media. I think the clown sighting are isolated incidents and like everything in our saturated social media world everyone has latched onto this as the "next big thing", you know, to distract us from the important issues plaguing our country, like homelessness, poverty, and other social subjects.

But hey, that is just my opinion, take it or leave it.

Leaving this story on a good note, because not all clowns are creepy and dangerous.

So our town had a Ronald McDonald clown come down to talk to the kids about good life lessons and other such matters. The kids really loved him and he was genuinely funny too. I approached him to ask about what make-up he used, since like I said I used to do film stuff back in the day, I wanted to know if it was Ben Nye or something else, and of course, some of the kids were still lingering around him, and he looks at me and says, "Nine months in the womb." Pretty funny guy if you ask me. Incidentally the make up he used was Mehron, in case anyone was interested.
