Man, it's been a long time since I've played the first Rock Band game. I can't even remember why I got this game. I think I was tired of playing Guitar Hero II, I really hated the interface of the game, and when I found out that RB would have vocals, bass, and drums, I think I died a little inside (in a good way). I picked up RB and bought all the instruments over time, one piece at a time. I still have the original drum set I bought as well as the Logitech mic. I have had to buy a few "clicktars" as well as they crapped out pretty quick. I didn't care for the RB2 Guitar, so I stick with the Gibson Guitar Hero II guitars to this day.
I brought the game home and there were many, many hours of fun to be had, though to be honest I did get tired of playing the same songs over and over again. Thank God for DLC! I still play RB to this day and with the PRO Mustang Guitar, I'm learning to play some songs (for reals) that are a blast and it opens up even more re-playability. I can't hype the RB games enough, and it's a little bittersweet that the main DLC has finally stopped (April 2, 2013 was the last DLC put out by Harmonix, Don McLean's "American Pie" was the final track), though, the RBN is still putting out DLC as well as C3 (Custom Creators Collective) is putting out great tracks every Friday. Check em' out if you have the time!
