Well I did it! That last run I did, coming in at four and a half miles the day before yesterday hurt me, the hip was like "AHHHHHHH!", and the knee was like, "*$%@ You!", but thanks to some after dinner massage by Symphony. I feel a ton better, but not 100% and not ready to run again, another day of relaxing and then I will do a light jog tomorrow.
Here's rule number five:
5. Don't over run!
Beginners tend to do this and I for one can attest, it sucks! When I started I just tried to see how far I could run without stopping but I was only running about 1 mile around the lake then turning around, the day before yesterday I resolve that once I started running I was going to run the whole length of the lake, which I did, but ouch city a few hours afterwards which leads to rule number six.
6. Don't forget to stretch after your run.
They (the experts I assume) tell you to only stretch after your run/exercise regime now, which is weird, but I am sure they have science to back this up, or something, whatever. But you should stretch out your limbs and what not so they don't go all bonkers like mine did
Yep, totally didn't do this and I am paying for it big time. No fun, let me tell you what. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day. Don't. Stop. Running.
