So me and Symph are fighting off a cold here. I caught it out of nowhere and it struck me with a vengeance and now she is on day two of it, I am on day four and it still sucks. Hope that it goes away sooner than later.
You know those stories where people don't get billed from a company due to a clerical error. Well here's one. About four days ago our electric igniter switch on our gas furnace went out so I went downstairs and happen to small a whiff of gas, so like anyone who smells gas should do, call your gas company and get someone down here to check, well, as I'm talking to the employee on the phone I come to find out that due to a clerical error they haven't billed us since we've moved in this place... back in Nov. 2010. Found out the damage was just shy over $1000.00 and now we have to make double plus payments over the next year and three months or they cut us off.... totally insane!
The year is going to get better right?
When I moved into my old condo, I was pleased to see my electric bill was quite low. Until they cut me off... twice.
ReplyDeleteTurns out they had the meters switched and the bill I had been paying was for the vacant condo downstairs. When the owners cancelled the electric, they cut me off instead.
What did I end up with to show for it? A huge freakin' bill for all the electric I really used. You'd think they'd waive it after cutting my power off twice by accident... but nooooo!
I feel for you. That stinks.
I had the same thing happen when i was in college in my apartment..the water company conveniently didn't bill me for a year. Send me a bill out of the blue saying "gee sorry, here's how much you owe." i ended up making payment arrangements with them but never paid them - out of principle. I refused to pay for their fuck up.
