Re: I Heart Books

I love them.  The feel of them.  The weight.  I don't think I can replicate that with a Kindle, Nook, or any of those fancy electronic book-reading devices.  Give me a physical copy any day of the week, even with my bad little old eyeballs I'd prefer the real deal.

I used to read a lot more if you can believe it.  I remember back in grade school reading science books for fun.  I've gravitated towards the horror genre since I can remember.  Swamp Thing comics at six.  Clive Barker at eleven.  Yep, I am a messed up cookie I'll be the first to admit it.  I recently read some other books besides horror.  It was scientific stuff by Mr. Asimov.  It looks like full circle to me but I'm a optimistic pessimist, it's like the circle is half full of arsenic.  Hell, I still read every day.

I also love pursing book stores.  Not really the big chain bookstores but the smaller ones, the out of the way ones that are floor to ceiling books.  I am blessed to live up here in Washington, there are so many bookstores (and coffee shops) it's a little slice of heaven.

Love books, hate books?  Let me know!
