Movie Ticket Monday: Bringing Out the Dead

I went and saw this film with my friend, Ron, on a whim.  That was during the time that we were hitting up three or four video stores looking for cheap VHS (and maybe DVD) to purchase.  Ron was totally cool like that where he would just hit a million stores looking for that video score.  Good times.  I remember this one time where I had woken up one morning and my neck did a weird cracking wrench sound and every time that I turned it to the left I would scream in pain fairly loud.  Ron was driving this large suburban (I think) and every time he talked to me I would turn my head and yell in his ear.  That was a fun day.  (Sorry, Ron.)  Though he got me back by being a passenger in his kit-built 1920's Ford Model T.  There was no upolstery above our heads and I remember it pulling my hair out bit by bit, and the ride was insanely bumpy and really loud, I remember having to yell at one another just to have a conversation...

I've totally digressed off the movie here, but Movie Ticket Monday are a way of me trying to remember what I was doing at the time and the people I was doing it with.  This has been really fun so far.  I'm sure I have at least one or two bad movie experiences in this "series", but we'll get to those eventually, and this isn't one of them.  Onto the film and what not.

I saw this film at the Merced Stadium 10 on November 2, 1999, which now looking on Google Maps I think is gone.  The film was really intense and I really enjoyed it.  Went out and bought the DVD and everything.  One of the only films I like Nicolas Cage in.  Tom Sizemore was pretty gruesome in it too.  Good times.  Glad me and Ron went and saw this bad boy on a lark.

Well there you have it, Dear Readers, a movie review without a review.  Like I said before, I am posting these Movie Ticket Monday post to show where I was in my life.

See you all in a few...
