Music Monday: Drive By Truckers

A great alt-country band.  Interestingly enough I found them looking for GG Allin on Napster (yeah, I'm old).  The song was entitled The Night GG Allin Came to Town, I thought it was hilarous and that is when the obsession began.  Bulldozers and Dirt, Margo and Harold, Goddamn Lonely Love, Daddy's Cup, hell the list goes on and on.  There really isn't anything that I don't like that the band hasn't released yet.  I have not listened to the last two albums or so, but I am sure that they are pretty sweet nonetheless.

I also wish Harmonix would put out some more tracks by this band.  I'll take anything at this point.  Though Uncle Frank and Where the Devil Don't Stay would be awesome.  Just saying.

I finally got to see DBT live this year up here in Seattle.  Great show!  The venue was The Showbox, which if you are a native (at least this one) you'd be less than happy about it.  The sound quality is rubbish inside the place, no matter where I was I could barely hear the vocals.  Well except for the front row.  I could hear great right there but it was for a different concert.
