Here I am again.. this time from a friend's house since our internet is down at the house for another day or two. It's interesting to be back on after a few days absence. Farming is going pretty well and after a few months I feel I'm beginning to get into the groove with it. I spent yesterday seeded almost 200 4in. containers with Chives. I thought it would take less time but I was apparently wrong. Saturday will be intense at the farm this week. We'll be tagging and vaccinating cattle, there will be about twelve people there for the process and I hear that there might be video/pictures. If some show up, I'll post em' here. I'll be works the chute, which looks like something out of a horror flick. The process is pushing the cow through a small fenced area into the end of the chute which has three different levers, one to enclose the cow from behind, one for the front end, and the last one keeps both sides stable. The back gate lever is fairly heavily and if the levers smack you it's going leave a bruise. Should be fun...
Stay tuned...
