So I'm a hardcore X-Men comic book fan. I've been collecting Uncanny X-Men since 1989. My first issue I purchased from a local comic store in the Central Valley of California was #241 which is the second issue in the old Inferno series (the Inferno series ran though Uncanny X-Men, The New Mutants, and X-Factor) which is still my favorite crossover next to the Age of Apocalypse crossover that happened in the mid-nineties. I've now have collected back to issue #200 and I have all current single issues to the most current (issue 506). I also collect the TPB and single issues of Ultimate X-Men but I have not been collecting for quite a while (probably two years on the particular comic).
The Uncanny series has gone through ups and downs in the past 20 years that I've been collecting but for the last few years it's been really exciting which keeps me coming back for more. If you haven't got a chance to give this series a go you should try it. A few good websites to check out.
