I love "wrasslin'" games, been playing them since the first NES. Boy those graphics have come a long way since then. Now you are probably wondering why I didn't talk about WWE Raw, well because, I didn't care for that game so much, though they did a few things right that I wish the current/future generation games would incorporate into them. The one feature that was super sweet in Raw 2 is that you could interfere as a superstar entered the arena, I believe it was a button press at the right time and the window to do that was very limited, but nonetheless, I loved it. Raw 2 also had a 4 player co op on the Season Mode. Where the hell is that nowadays? Bring it back 2K Games for WWE2K14!
Now the gameplay was pretty flawed and the ladder match was totally dumb. God, I hated the ladder match on this game. But all in all it was pretty fun and I don't regret playing it at all. This was the first game to have a season mode, though not as good as WWE 24/7 in Raw Vs. Smackdown 2008, but for the first one it was an awesome thing to see! There was also the Face/Heel dynamic in the game that would be cool to bring back to the current generation of wrestling games. The roster had 64 playable characters and 9 non-playable, which doesn't seem like a ton, but a decade ago that was awesome.
Granted this game is 10 years old now, but I have fond memories of this game. If you get a chance to check it out I suggest you do.
Did you play WWE Raw 2 on Xbox? If so, sound off below and let me know what you thought about the game? Stay tuned.
