Movie Ticket Monday: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Went and saw this with my friend Loyd. I love stupid stoner comedies. The stupider the better! We laughed our asses off and I actually own this one on DVD. Have a great time with a close friend, man I miss those times...
Here's the trailer:
You're welcome! Be back in a bit with another blog...
Here's the trailer:
Location! Location! Location! Bremerton Cinema, Part 2
Pretty excited about the new cinema opening up near us. Here's a pic from today:
They plan to open up in about a month or so. I have to saw that I'm stoked to have a cinema so close. Now I can finally watch all the "bad" horror films that come out without having to get a ride or anything. I mean really, who else but me is going to see the third Human Centipede film. Yeah that is what I thought. A coffee stand near it too is always a good thing and the fact that they will be serving local beer and have VIP perks has me drooling...
Sour Out! Sprocket holes!

Let's Go Out to the Movies!
I'm interested to see this. I've not been to hot on Poe movies in the past. Maybe this one will be different. Maybe it'll be a Netflix rental. At least The Avengers comes out on the 4th! Woot!

Belated DVD/Video Game Tuesday
Well, at least I got This Week in Rock Band out on time. So let's see what (if anything) is happening (for me) in the world of DVD's and video games...
Wow, there's something like 300 to 400 DVD's coming out this week and I'm not interested in any of them. Sad Panda. Maybe I'm become jaded or something... Glad I'm actually not buying a ton of DVD's anymore... (Just a reminder I got to this website for my DVD info and have been for like ten years:
The Digital Bits
Let's see if there are any games that are up and coming that have to be had...
... Wow, that is two for two now. I'm glad that I've found a few games that I really like playing (Rock Band 3, Red Dead: Redemption, and Halo: Reach to name most of them). I'm excited for Rock Band Blitz and Deadlight, both coming up later this year on XBLA. Sweet, but until then I'm kind of blah about stuff coming out lately...

Well it's a 3 pack... of singles! Let's see what we have here:
O features support for Keyboards, X denotes PRO Guitar/Bass Upgrade
There was a ton of RBN releases over the week. I'll direct you to the Rock Band forums post that lists them...
RBN releases throughout the week.
As for the songs go that are coming out, I'm torn, I kind of want the Eddie Money, but I might save my clams and see what down the pipeline coming this next week...
I'll be back with another blog post in a little bit...

More Thanks and an update to the Fundraising Page
So hello blog world! Last week was really awesome. Today I changed the amount needed to raise for my fundraiser by $500.00 less, so now the fundraiser is 63% complete. There are two reasons why I am doing this, one, the GiveForward website take 7% of the total amount, so smaller amount means a smaller percent taken out. I also lowered the amount due to PayPal payments sent as well as personal checks and cash that has come in. Also here in a little bit I'll be opening up a personal savings account at Bank of America specifically for the fundraiser, and once that is locked down I'll be posting all the PayPal money received to date into the savings account, which might take another week or so... so please bear with me...
A big Thank You goes out to to the weekend donations that I've received through friends in person and snail mail.

Let's Go Out to the Movies! (Or not...)
Well, personally there is nothing that I want to see this week. That is okay though. So here's some suggestions for snuggling up on the couch with some Instant Streaming Netflix:
Frasier (TV Show)
Need some high-brow humor? Follow this spin-off series from Cheers featuring the lovable (and irritating) Dr. Crane and family. I love that it's set in Seattle, though I believe only one episode was actually filmed here... Great show that I can watch over and over.
Comedy not your thing? Try this hard hitting, bloody Korean thriller
I Saw the Devil (Film)
Wow. This was insane. It's a bit long at two hours and twenty-two minutes, but that really is how long this story takes to resolve. The blood and gore in this is heavy and holds no punches. Watch at your own risk, take that for what it's worth...
Not a fan of up close and personal violence and maybe you have some young ones then I suggest this:
Phineas and Ferb (Animated TV Show)
I admit I've only watched two episodes, but I think it might be growing on me. What I think is going on in this one (and I don't think I'm really spoiling anything) is two brothers, Phineas and Ferb have to do something amazing every day for summer, yet their sister is always trying to tell her Mom how much trouble the two are getting into.
Well hope I've enlightened you Dear Readers out there in the blogsphere... Enjoy your weekend out there with whatever you doing!

This Week in Rock Band
Well, I am going keep rolling with these entries since I haven't posted since Monday or something...
This week get's some delicious Metal with a band that hasn't been in RB before... and it's awesome!
Check it out:
Songs marked with O feature support for keyboards, songs marked with X denotes PRO Guitar/Bass upgrades.
Pretty sweet, if you ask me! I will definitely be picking up "You Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone) and I'll have to listen to the other two to see if they are worth it. Classic Metal. Nice. Still no Cure, Interpol, or Depeche Mode.... maybe in a few weeks? Maybe not, I don't know...
Let's see what juiciness has come out of the RBN yesterday...
Alternative

Pop/Dance/Electric

Well there you have it folks! Are you stoked for Cinderella? I am. Any of those RBN tracks calling to you? Not me but I'll at least give them a listen to on Spotify and give them a fair shake...
I'll be back in a bit (after I've had some coffee) and post the 2nd ever blog entry Let's Go Out to the Movies... Stay Tuned...

Music Monday: Red Hot Chili Peppers
I'll admit it, back in high school I talked shit about the Peppers without even listening to them. I was very close minded about music back then. I listened to Metal and Classical, and that was about it. But when I finally listened to them it was their iconic album, Blood Sugar Sex Magick. Wow, just fucking wow. After that I picked up all the past albums on cassette, yeah, cassette, I'm old. I went Chili Pepper crazy, bad.... That was all I listened to for something like 6 months or more while listening to nothing else, and I really mean nothing else...
Their music is solid and still holds up to this day. I also totally dig on their post Stadium Arcadium album and beyond. Here's a groovy video from back in the day, yo!
So there you have it, a dirty confession and a sweet tune to listen to. You are welcome.

Movie Ticket Monday: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
So here's a little back story on this bad boy... I was never a Tomb Raider fan. Yeah, I said it. I've played a bit of one of the releases on Xbox 360... I don't even remember the title. Sad.
I think on the trailer there was this U2, Beautiful Day, if I recall correctly, and Elizabeth was really, really into U2, as our dear friend Kevin was a rabid fan. To this day every time I hear this song I tear up, and on a personal level, I saw U2 last year and I know Kevin was rocking with us from the stars, miss ya bro.
So there's a small little background for you out there, Dear Readers, on my past... if anyone out there gives a hot mess...
Instead of the Lara Croft trailer, I"m putting up U2's Beautiful Day in honor of the late Dr.
*Tear*
I'm out...

New Series: Let's Go Out to the Movies!
So I don't know why I haven't thought of this yet. Every Friday (and sometimes Wednesdays) movies come out in theaters. I am going to post what I (and my wife) want to see. If I can find the film trailer online I'll post it here. So let's get this party started!
Let's see what is coming out this week! First up:
Cabin in the Woods
This looks interesting, I mean, I guess it could be awful but Joss Whedon is producing so it's probably alright. Here's the trailer:
Next up is The Lady, which I believe, is about Aung San Suu Kyi and her fight for a democratic government in Burma. Very interesting and I'm sure it'll look very pretty.
Here's the trailer for The Lady:
Well that is all the flicks that are coming out that either me or Symphony wants to see. So go out and support your local movie theater and watch some films! You know you wanna!
Hope you have enjoyed the first entry in this weekly series... until next time...

This Week in Rock Band
Well, I thought it would be either a 3 pack from The Smiths or maybe Bowie, for no other reason then that is what some of the forum peeps said on Rockband.com. Couldn't be more off the mark for this week... so without further ado...
(X denotes PRO Guitar/Bass Upgrade)
(O denotes supports Keyboards)
Well it's a 4 pack which is cool, and depending on what Symphony wants (if anything) I'll grab it, but otherwise it's a total skip this next Tuesday for me... an intsa-buy for me from P!nk would have been this one:
Just to reiterate, Stupid Girls is not coming to Rock Band... yet. Maybe some day...
Since there isn't any tracks from the main game, let's look and see what came out this week for the RBN...
Song releases from RBN on 4/12/12:
Metal
Novelty
Pop/Dance/Electronic
Prog
Reggae/Ska
Less Than Jake - "Younger Lungs"
I might have to give a listen to the Prog and Reggae/Ska tracks, though the one band I actually recognize is Less Than Jake, even though I haven't really heard them before... everything else, well, maybe next week...
I'll be back in a bit with a new blog entry... stay tuned, Dear Readers!
P!nk Pack 01
P!nk - "Get the Party Started" (O)(X)
P!nk - "Sober" (O)
P!nk - "Please Don't Leave Me" (O)
P!nk - "Funhouse" (O)(X denotes PRO Guitar/Bass Upgrade)

I Heart Robot Chicken!
I love Robot Chicken! I first found them on Demand through Comcast way back in the day and at the time had no idea that Seth Green was one of the sick minds behind it. I saw Season 1, Episode 5 on a whim and fell in love with it immediately. I know it was gold when I saw the Voltron got served clip. Priceless and funny...
Here's a scarring clip for everyone, sorry Symph... don't watch this... Scarred for life!
If you've never seen it check out Robot Chicken and give some time and money to the genius that is Seth Green and Co.

How High is the Ceiling? My Reflections on Shocking and Disturbing Cinema (NSFW).
So this HHitC is a two for one deal. The flicks in question are truly disturbing. It's billed as Medical Horror and Sweet Jesus, they ain't lying...
The films in question are The Human Centipede and The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence. I watched both of these bad boys on Netflix Instant! Man, they are sick, and when I say they are sick that is saying something...
and here's the Trailer for the 2nd film...
I'm not sure which one is worse in it's gore and horror. Both are pretty damn sick, though I think the second film is worse in terms of gore even though it's black and white, and for some reason I think it being non-colorized makes it worse...
Watch either of these films at YOUR OWN RISK! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Can't wait to see what I talk about next... Stay Tuned... and leave the lights on!

Belated Everything from this week. Movie Ticket Monday/DVD & Game Tuesday
For this week's Movie Ticket Monday is The Mummy Returns! Liked it, but not as much as the first one. My girlfriend at the time was a crazy Mummy fanatic, so it was inevitable that I saw this. Not great but not horrible either...
Well let's see what (if anything) is coming out on DVD this week...
Wow... nothing on DVD this week. Maybe next week... Let's see what is up with gaming this week...
... and no, no games this week either...
Last week in Rock Band was awesome! A Slayer 3 pack!
(X denotes PRO Guitar/Bass upgrades)
Insta-buy for me! Love me some Slayer... hard as hell on guitar, but vocals are pretty decent even on Expert! Good stuff.
Come back tomorrow to see what is coming out for Rock Band DLC next Tuesday!

Rock Band Blitz Or that Fancy Track Pack that You Have to Have
Well Harmonix released info about their new XBLA/PSN Arcade Game coming this Summer... Rock Band Blitz is a stripped down arcade game that focuses on fast and furious game play. At first I was like, "eh", but then they announced that most of the RB library and RBN will be cross-compatible which is pretty sweet but still not a "instabuy" for me, well that is until they announced 25 new tracks in Blitz will be able to be exported in RB3 for rawkin' goodness! Sold! Sold! A million times sold! They've already let us know 5 of the new 25 songs, which are as follows:
Both Great White and Quiet Riot are super additions to the ever-growing library of songs. If the other 20 are a mix of new and old I will quite pleased. Hoping against hope that there's a Twisted Sister song on the set list, but if there's only 20 tracks left to announce I'll be really amazed that there will be a Twisted Sister track on there... but I can hope, can't I?
Are you excited about this new Rock Band game? I know I am. At least I'm excited to see what other tracks they're offering for export. I'm also hoping this game is less than fifteen bucks and doesn't take up a ton of HD space as I am almost out...
Foster the People - "Pumped Up Kicks"
Rick Springfield - "Jessie's Girl"
blink-182 - "Always"
Quiet Riot - "Mental Health (Bang Your Head)"
Great White - "Once Bitten, Twice Shy"

You Rawk (Rock) Band me Round, Like a Record... Baby.
So it's another exciting post about Rock Band. In just a few days at Pax East 2012, Harmonix, is launching a new title... what is it? XBLA title? New Rock Band-centric game? New Rock Band 4 game? Maybe. I don't know personally. What I am hoping for (besides all the above options) is that Rock Band is going to make a Guitar jack to USB and allow us gamers (and guitarists/bassists) to be able to plug in a real axe and play their PRO Guitar/Bass upgrades that were introduced to us in Rock Band 3. I mean, why not Harmonix? Give RockSmith/Ubisoft a run for their money. You already have a ton of PRO tracks above and beyond Rocksmith's count.
I also see that you were able to PRO all the old drum charts as well. Is it really that much harder to do the same for Guitar/Bass upgrades to all existing songs? Though I've never worked in the game industry as an engineer so I don't know how complex it would be to do that. If someone could answer that question, or direct me to an answer on that, it would be most kind.
I can't wait for the announcement either way and I'm sure I'll post it here in all it's splendor. I was going to post this next bit over at the official Rock Band forum, but what the hell, I'll just do it here...
If you could ninja into the Harmonix office, to where the great and terrible, spawned from the Depths of Hell, DLC Master Computer is... what? You ask what is this is? Why it's only the most magical item in the Multi-Verse. Like the Great Oz, its decision is final. See the folks at Harmonix only put out what the DLC Master Computer says, they actually don't have any control over what DLC is put out. The Master Computer rules all...
Anyways... If you could sneak into the offices and overrun the DLC Master Computer long enough to put ONE SONG of DLC to the top of it's list and the techies in the trenches would have it completed by next week, I ask you Dear Readers, what song would you pick?
Please respond in the comments below sections and pretty please only limit it one song, and one song only...

DVD/Game Tuesday
Well there are no films on DVD (some stuff on Blu-Ray, but I don't own a player...) or video games that I'm dying to play this week on Xbox or XBLA... Pretty slow week. Maybe next week... I'll post something later today after I get some more work done. It's been pretty busy here work wise. Massive spreadsheet project has taken up my last four days. I'm Jones"ing" to play some Rock Band with some of my RB 30+ players, but I haven't had the time. I'm also glad since the last two weeks of DLC are bands that I'm not too crazy for so I haven't had to spend points on songs. I'm thinking this week might be something truly awesome, like some 80's Hair Metal or a band we haven't seen in a really long time...
Be back in a bit. Stay tuned.

Location! Location! Location! Bremerton Cinema
I'm blogging about a place that is still in pre-production. The third act hasn't been written yet and only principal actors have been cast. The anxious movie-going crowd waits in the late summer drizzle, no umbrellas here, only hooded sweatshirts and downwards glances to keep the rain off their bodies and out of their eyes.
One figure in particular stands there, his coke bottle lenses looking at the marquee displayed in all its digital glory, a multitude of different times all replaying that one film that everyone came to see, that everyone plunked down their hard-earned cash to be a silent witnesses to the genius of this true golden age of cinema. That figure, as I'm sure you've guessed it, is me...
It will truly be a magical moment. I look forward to be a die-hard patron of the Bremerton Cinema, and if I could be an employee there as well I would be most humbled and honored. My love of film knows no bounds and I can write a pretty mean script, (at least that is what I've been told by my past film teacher).
I've worked in the independent and student film scene in Northern California. Just recently I've posted a short video I did back in 2004. It's a murderous clown story starring Loyd Craft and Cherub Freed, entitled No Laughing Matter. I've also been able to work with John Soares, Justin Spurlock, Dustin Kitchens, David McCloud, Marc Simone, Allen Kelly, and a whole host of other talented and awesome people. Sorry for the film shout out there, but working with everyone back in the early 2000's were really, really good times.
To me a new theater is just what the doctor ordered here in Bremerton and it's the beginning of the slow progress of the revitalization of the ghost town like quality that is the downtown area. I've lived in smaller towns that have more people on the streets, but, I do understand that for a lot of people this is a bedroom community. I do hope that this turn the area around and leads to bigger and better things for this quiet Navy town.
Here's some photos of the Cinema coming soon!
Well it only looks like I can grab this photo off the internet. I'll do one better. Free Press! Please check out and Like the SEEfilm Bremerton Cinema page on Facebook for the most recent photos and latest happenings.

Movie Ticket Monday: Hannibal
Not the best date movie to be sure. Honestly, I can't remember who I saw this with. That seems to becoming a trend lately... March 10, 2001 at the Modesto 18. Caught the matinee on this bad boy. As I recall the film was alright, though I don't think it had the matching power that Silence of the Lambs did, though it did pretty well on all fronts... and of course Anthony Hopkins was awesome as always. Good times.
Here's the trailer:
So this post here is pretty short, so I'll be back in a bit with some more blogging sweetness...
