Well I've missed three weeks of this series, so today is catch-up day. The first movie is, I believe, was the Highlander remake. Not a great film. The only highlight for me was that Chris Jericho had a bit part in it. I saw this flick w/ Elizabeth at the Modesto 18 on 9/2/00. I can barely even remember the film except for some fight scenes and multiple be-headings. Here's the trailer and then we'll be on to the next one.
Alright, the next movie is The Exorcist. Great film. Love it. Own the clamshell VHS copy (yes, I'm old school) Couldn't wait to see this "Version You Haven't Seen Before" film. The movie was great, the house was packed that night, though I was shocked to see a family sitting in front of me with their very, very tiny baby. A baby to the midnight showing of the Exorcist. Parenting FAIL. Here's a trailer of the film..
The last film was the very bleh, Dungeons and Dragons. Went and saw it with friends in a group setting. I can't tell where I saw this, but I think it was somewhere in Turlock. Movie was bad, but the company was good. I am not going to put the trailer down on here, because really, who wants to see it?
Well there you have it folks, come check out my blog entries for tomorrow as usual, DVD Tuesdays and Video Game Tuesdays as well as some stuff that may be new later today...

Life: Short Blurb #19
So me and Symph are fighting off a cold here. I caught it out of nowhere and it struck me with a vengeance and now she is on day two of it, I am on day four and it still sucks. Hope that it goes away sooner than later.
You know those stories where people don't get billed from a company due to a clerical error. Well here's one. About four days ago our electric igniter switch on our gas furnace went out so I went downstairs and happen to small a whiff of gas, so like anyone who smells gas should do, call your gas company and get someone down here to check, well, as I'm talking to the employee on the phone I come to find out that due to a clerical error they haven't billed us since we've moved in this place... back in Nov. 2010. Found out the damage was just shy over $1000.00 and now we have to make double plus payments over the next year and three months or they cut us off.... totally insane!
The year is going to get better right?

DVD Tuesdays
Not too much coming out this week. I am excited for the next season of Weeds on Netflix, though I'm tired of Nancy banging her way through the entire cast. If I wanted to watch that I would watch Californication (which I love). Well let's see if there is any games worth their salt coming out this week...

Something You Might Not Have Watched Yet and Should: Home Movies
I love this show. Great writing. Awesome voice actors. Directed by the same guy who put out a little gem known as Metalocalypse, you know, that show that you might actually know. Brendon Small made this awesome cartoon that I caught on TV when it first came out. I've loved it since the first time I saw it. Love. This. Cartoon. Squiggle-vision and all. Nice.

Here's a awesome clip of said show.
And I can't forget a clip without McGuirk...
Good stuff. If you have never seen the show, you can check it out on Netflix Instant Streaming. There are also a few free episodes on Adult Swim:
Home Movies on Adult Swim
I hope you've checked out the show and liked it, or if you haven't watched it in a long time you're enjoying it again.

Remember These? Arcades or Quarter Eaters (Money Nom-Nom)
I used to frequent video arcades when I was pretty young, up until my early teen years. The first video game that I remember playing a lot of was Dragon's Lair. It was one of those games that if I recall correct used to collect not one but two quarters from you, and like a lot of video games at that time it was a quarter eater, much like Frogger or Smash TV. I loved arcades and frankly I kind of miss them now. I know they still exist but console gaming has truly changed the landscape, for the better, though, I'm not too sure.
Do you have favorite memories of playing arcade games in actual arcades? Sound off in the comment below.

This Week in Rock Band
Pretty excited about next weeks tracks. It's three singles from one of the Godfathers of Metal, Megadeth! Feast your eyes on these bad boys!
Megadeth Pack 01
Symphony of Destruction is a day one purchase for me. The other two I'll have to listen and then make up my mind on whether to purchase or not. Here's a video to one of my favorite Megadeath songs for your viewing pleasure:
Apparently the video is the short version. It's a great song though. Now let's see what has come out for the RBN on Xbox 360 over the past week.
Metal
Prog
Punk
Rock
The Anarchy Club song is a gotta get it. The groove is pretty happening. Just a quick note, I am glad that so much music is still coming out of the RBN each and every week, but a ton of it I just don't know the bands or tracks and can't justify spending my cash when so far everything that has come out in the RB library are awesome tracks that can't be beat, damn near since Rush's 2112 at the end of the year it's been a great selection of songs for the game. Though it would be nice to see another full album released some time soon...
Well there you go. See you all in a bit. Have a nice Friday out there!

Throwback Thursday: Saturday Morning Cartoons (80's Style)
Remember those good old Saturday Morning Cartoons? Where you actual had to plant your ass in front of the TV, and for me I was pretty damn close mind you. Nowadays these kids got their interwebz and such so you can watch cartoons anytime you want, with all those Hulu's and YouTube's out there it's cartoons 25/8 into the 5th Dimension, shit, I almost forgot Netflix Streaming... (I admit I'm actually listening to South Park as I write these words, sweet, sweet irony)
When I was a kid I remember Blackstar, Looney Tunes, Spider-Man and Friends, The USA Cartoon Express (and all that it contains therein) He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, The Smurfs, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?, and so many more. I used to sit and either eat a Fudgesicle or a bowl of Pac-Man cereal, and we I say "a bowl" I mean four, same with the fudgesicles. Man, I sure could eat. Stupid metabolism. Here's a few videos that may make you fonder remember your youth or make you think those crazy kids back in the 80's how have they not destroyed the earth? I ask myself the same question every day, Pinky. See, see what I did there... Clever bipedal am I.
Enjoy some 80's cheese. Now with more cheese.
This is just a small taste of what I used to watch. Good times were had. Wow. It's almost midnight.
That is all she wrote. See you Dear Readers tomorrow with my blog entry This Week in Rock Band and possible something else down the pipeline. Come back and check it out!

DVD Tuesdays (a bit late)
So I've been wanting to see The Rum Diaries for quite a while now. It's technically (I think) the follow-up/prequel to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Good stuff. The Human Centipede was especially hideous so I want to see this one to see how much further they could go with this. I guess I have to wait and see...

Love. Love. Love.
You must love life as hard as you can when you can. Enjoy the time you have with the people you love and love the people you're with. Cherish friends and family like the devil. Life is just to fuckin' short. Stop, smell the roses, breathe the air, laugh, and love.
Happy V-Day friends. I love you all. See you tomorrow with some posts that should have already been posted....

Movie Ticket Monday: What Lies Beneath
So I saw this flick hoping against hope that it was going to be good, and I suppose, in the barest idea it was, but it was sorely disappointing. A mediocre film with bland dialogue and a predictable ending. Not scary in the least, though I figure I've seen some many horror flicks, I've become desensitized... I mean if you're into cookie-cutter thriller with a hint of horror then go for it but for most gorehounds skip this flick at all costs. You'll thank me.
If you've never seen nor heard of this film then check out the trailer below:
